I'm Eszter, a licensed Hungarian tour guide and a history enthusiast. Born and raised in Budapest, I love my city and know it well, yet every day I discover something new to explore.
I'm happy to guide you on a classic tour of Budapest's main sights, or I can show you the city's hidden treasures. If you're planning a day trip to the Danube Bend or Szentendre—a charming artists' village near Budapest—I can guide you and arrange private transportation for your excursion.
My tours can be booked through my event calendar on each tour page or in case of special request please contact me via WhatsApp/Viber message or email.
I am also licensed to guide inside St Stephen's Basilica, Matthias Church, the Great Synagogue and Rumbach Street Synagogues, Memento Park - Budapest's communist statue park and Retro Budapest Museum too.

My historical walks of the 20th century go beyond just dates and events—together, we'll explore the background of different Hungarian eras and understand what led to each historical moment. My favorite topic is the communist period from 1945 onward. I particularly enjoy guiding visitors through Memento Park, a unique outdoor museum where communist propaganda statues that once stood in Budapest's streets between 1945 and 1989 are now displayed.
I have come to understand human destinies through many archival materials, which can also emotionally bring you closer to the spirit of Hungary’s 20th century and its present. I gather these stories and human destinies like threads and knit them into a colorful sweater. I look forward to sharing my personal and family stories with you during my walks.
